Chase Durulite 200 Postal Door

The Durulite Model 200 Postal Series door is designed to meet the stringent security requirements of the United States Postal Service and complies with all RE-5 security guidelines.

Construction

Door Panel - The ¼” thick monolithically formed outer shell is rotationally molded from Cross-Linked High Density Polyethylene (X-LINK HDPE). This material is five times stronger than ABS and offers maximum durability and impact resistance. The Cross-Linked High Density Polyethylene material maintains its properties to –40°F. Overall panel thickness is 1-7/8”.

Insulated Core – The door panel core is foamed in place CFC-Free urethane foam which permanently bonds to the inner surface of the door panel. This ensures that the foam will not break down when the door is impacted. The CFC-Free foam core provides excellent insulation (R Factor of 10.83) and sound attenuation properties.

Internal Reinforcement – Upper V-Cam Hinge System, lower hinge pillow block construction with UHMW sleeve and solid cast aluminum adapter.

High Density Polyethylene Spring Bumpers - 38” High Density Polyethylene (HDPE) spring bumpers protect the door panel from impact. These bumpers feature a 4” teardrop projection that compresses to absorb the energy created by impact from carts and man-ridden vehicles. The bumper then “springs” back to its original position.

Full Perimeter Gasketing - Durable gasketing is factory applied without the use of metal strips or fasteners, making it easy to replace in the field. Frame mounted header seals are supplied to seal the top of the door.

Upper Hinge System - Solid cast aluminum Upper Hinge Post and a zinc-plated ductile iron V-Cam with UHMW sleeve for smooth, reliable operation. The roller assembly features a permanently lubricated needle bearing for durability and minimal maintenance.

Bottom Hinge - Solid cast aluminum lower hinge post rides in heavy duty lower pillow block with UHMW sleeve for smooth, reliable operation. The lower hinge post can accommodate our optional spring assist for high draft applications.

Chase Durulite ME-200 Postal Door (For non-standard Opening Sizes)

Chase Durulite ME-200 Postal Door - The Durulite Model 200 Postal Series door is designed to meet the stringent security requirements of the United States Postal Service and complies with all RE-5 security guidelines.
Internal Reinforcement - The leading edge of door is internally reinforced with a solid PVC bar for additional strength.
Custom Sized Postal Door with Heavy Duty SS Back Spine and SS Top Cap -The ME-200 Durulite Postal Traffic Door offers the same great impact and corrosion resistance benefits of our monolithically formed Industrial Door but also allows for custom sizing flexibility. The ME-200 design allows our customers to fill odd sized openings with the industry’s best impact traffic door without the need for an extended top seal or mis-matched door panels.
-The ¼” thick monolithically formed outer shell is rotationally molded from Cross-Linked High Density Polyethylene (X-HDPE). This material is five times stronger than ABS and offers maximum durability and impact resistance. The Cross-Linked High Density Polyethylene material maintains its properties to –40°F.
-Once the internal reinforcement and insulated foam core are in place, the back and top edges of the door are cut to appropriately size the panel. A heavy-duty, 11-gauge stainless steel spine and 20-guage stainless steel top cap are then applied to the door. Overall panel thickness is 1-7/8”.
-The ME-200 can be custom sized to fit openings up to 10’ wide x 9’11” high.
