OVERVIEW

A large-scale addition to an existing manufacturing facility required a comprehensive package of durable, high performance Durulite® Industrial — Extreme Rotomolded HD doors.

The project demanded tight coordination, accurate specifications, and timely delivery to keep construction on schedule.

During the planning and procurement stages, the general contractor communicated to the distributor that all required Durulite® doors for the facility expansion were 7/0 in height.

As the project progressed, it became clear that the actual specification should have been 8/0 doors to meet the facility’s operational and compliance requirements.

This incorrect initial specification created a significant coordination challenge: the ordered doors no longer aligned with the project’s needs, installation schedules were jeopardized, and corrective action was required to prevent delays and additional downstream impacts.
